If they file claims and own bad sites you need to talk about that in the reply when human sees it at paypal should make them more likely to side with you.

Ok, I may be cutting my own throat here, but I purchased a very nice (in my rather limited opinion) traffic exchange from cobra scripts.

I also purchased a ready made site of an hyip monitor at the same time.

Long and short, can you look at the site at www.blackbelttraffic.com and tell if it is the script you are discussing here please??

After 5 days of waiting for the domain name to be transferred to me on the site I purchased, I filed a complaint with paypal to get the domain name or a refund.
Cobra Scripts sent me an email, accusing me of being a "Shop Lifter" and letting me know that my account with them was transfered to their fraud department.

Thinking this is a bit drastic over a dispute, I looked closer at the order.  The domain I purchased, along with cobra site, and their host is no longer accessible to me as they have blocked my ip from their server.  However, taking note of the script name, hyip lister, I searched and come up with the gold coders website (as well as a lot of information from folks that dont like gc).  Ok, now I know why they dont like disputes, the script did not pass the license check.

PayPal is now investigating them and tell me that they are watching for more complaints of this nature.  If you can get all others who have purchased these scripts to file complaints they will at least loose their paypal account.

Based on the one script that I know for sure they sold me as a bootleg (gc website states that they do not sell reseller rights to anyone, so any other site selling their scripts are selling bootlegs), I have also filed a complaint at http://www.ic3.gov which is an internet fraud center.

Hope this helps and if someone would please post here about my site so I can know if I have the script you are discussing I thank you.

Oh, I didnt notice if the fatcatclicks.com domain is on your list, but that is the site my te script was set up for when I purchased it.  Here is the information from whois:

Website: https://www.esbhost.com

Domain Name: FATCATCLICKS.COM

While I like a good deal, I do not like being duped or sold bootleg scripts, I will do what little I can in your quest whether my script is the one they stole from you or not.

  Thank you and God bless,,
John.

John,

The script you are asking about is NOT a AMCS scriipt but that is not surprising as we have a lot of information on Cobra that tells us AMCS is not the only script they have ripped off.

Just yesterday we were TRYING to help someone that bought a pirated copy of our script and they ran into the same wall it sounds like you did.  In this case they went even further by not only taking their money, but also changing the domain ownership of their domains and then banning their IP.  Bottom line, they paid for nothing and paypl won't even refund the money.

  Thanks for the Info Glen.

I have forwarded this thread to paypal for their investigation.  They tell me  that they are communicating with cobra letting them know that there is a piracy issue involved now.  I have also recommended to paypal that their paypal account be frozen as they are likely to have multiple demands for refunds over bootleg scripts.

Lastly, if everyone who has been sold a bootleg script will file at ic3.gov it may do some good as far as getting their servers shut down.

Hope this helps, Thank you and God bless,,

  Hello everyone.
For what it is worth, I have just spoken with a support rep from bodhost.com.
Bod Host is  the host of cobra scripts and their other sites.  While the main company seems to be in the UK, cobra scripts sites are on a server in CA.

These folks would like for everyone having a problem with cobra scripts to contact them using abuse@bodhost.com , be descriptive.

The support url for bodhost is http://support.bodhost.com/

Enough complaints may well get their servers shut down, it may not stop them for good, but for the moment and will make them have to   work harder to do this.

  Thank you and God bless,,

Hey everyone.  For what it's worth, bod host that hosts  fir cobra scripts says they would like to hear from programmers and script owners, here is their email address.
dedicated@bodhost.com

They want proof that their client is bootlegging scripts.

  Thank you and God bless,,

If they wanted proof they would have contacted AMCS Webs.  (like thats hard to do... LOL).

ESB Hosts and/or Cobra Scripts will not even reply to AMCS Web Services and we have multiple copies of emails they have sent to their clients lying about multiple issues including the pirated scripts they sell.

Proving a script is pirated script is very easy.  Beware of those trying to make you buy some sort of story told by Cobra.  I am the programmer of the script and Amcs has NEVER given anyone resellers rights so I think I MIGHT know the truth.. don't you?  Even No-Joke-Hosting is not a reseller as such.  We put together EACH and EVERY Site for no-joke and authorize them to add graphics, content and such and sell them on a individual basis.

Ask yourself something.. IF they (bodhost) cared, do you think they would not talk to the owner of the script?  All they are doing is telling you a story and doing nothing..  Its a wall we hit often.

PROOF is easy... Getting something done almost impossible.

Glen.

Agreed Glen.  I have given bodhost the websites as well as this thread.  They asked for contact from programmers and script owners so I passed the word on.
Personaly, I think they need to have their paypal account frozen and their hosting shut down, but in reality that would only slow things down for a short time.

They got me for a total of $50.00, a small price to pay for the lesson learned I guess.

However, if you could email the addy I left in my last post that will be one less excuse the host can give for not shutting them down.

  Thank you and God bless,,

It would not be worth his time there hundreds of thousands of host if not millions.  Even though it be fun annoying them.  Sooner or later they just change names.

I just recently had to buy an auction site one my friends owned as got tired of him allowing all the nulled sites to be sold there.  Funny since I required all auctions to be approved I selling stuff.  I already upset one the nulled sellers who listed there and is my friend he keeps joining the auction site guess I killed his income.

Key is to go after the ones buying so they stop buying and warn others.

PayPal protection for seller and buyer is a joke.  They refuse to let seller know which are credit card purchases like alertpay does so we can review those extra good so all risky ones can be refunded before you get pay chargeback fee of $10 I had to pay $10 fee in addition to money loss on $3 purchases before.

Credit Card purchase is actually the advise given to me by a paypal rep last night.

I have contacted my clients and advised then that if any have purchased from cobra using CC, they should contact their cc company and demand chargback.

Also, many banks will reverse transactions on bank cards when used as a cc (any purchase not using pin code basically)

So, maybe we cannot shut him down, but maybe we can get enough people who have used cc to do chargbacks and cost him a little cash that way?

It has just come to our attention that a company called CobraScripts.com has decided it is okay to copy and sell AMCS Web Scriipts and stick their name at the bottom as the script owner.

We STRONGLY discourage this practice and will be encrypting more of the script then ever before from this point forward.  We do not like doing this as we want the script to be as easy as possible for our customers to modify to their own needs, but it seems we are being forced (yet again) to do something we do not want to do.

We would ask for your support in this issue as piracy effects everyone in many ways.  Prices are raised as script re-writes become necessary.. The ability for people to easily modify their sites become restricted as more of the script must be encrypted and protected.  the whole things sucks in my opinion.

Further to this, we would request that you add your ban lists the following sites. (the ones in red ARE AMCS sites but it appears this is the person that either sold and/or copied the script for the pirates as two of them contain their paypal details
